consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la romanit\u00e9 de la ville et de son territoire, install\u00e9e sous les portiques de la place Chanoux et inaugur\u00e9e fin juin, ainsi que <strong>la r\u00e9ouverture du <em>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre romain<\/em> le 3 juillet<\/strong>, offrent une occasion unique de red\u00e9couvrir Aoste et ses sites arch\u00e9ologiques, t\u00e9moins silencieux d&rsquo;une histoire mill\u00e9naire. Au fil des rues de la ville contemporaine, le visiteur dialogue sans cesse avec le pass\u00e9.<\/p><p>L&rsquo;<em>Arc d&rsquo;Auguste<\/em>, ancien gardien de l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e orientale de la ville, accueille les visiteurs avant la <em>Porta Pr\u00e6toria<\/em>, principal acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;ancienne <em>Augusta Pr\u00e6toria<\/em>. Une fois la porte franchie, le Th\u00e9\u00e2tre romain d\u00e9voile son imposante silhouette, v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9cor monumental qui a travers\u00e9 les si\u00e8cles. Avec sa fa\u00e7ade de plus de vingt m\u00e8tres de hauteur, rythm\u00e9e par des arcs et des fen\u00eatres, il constitue l&rsquo;un des monuments antiques les plus embl\u00e9matiques de la Vall\u00e9e d&rsquo;Aoste. Au-del\u00e0 de l&rsquo;enceinte romaine, conserv\u00e9e sur une grande partie de son trac\u00e9, se dresse sur la colline nord la Villa della Consolata, prestigieuse r\u00e9sidence construite peu avant ou au moment de la fondation de la colonie romaine.<\/p><p>En poursuivant vers l&rsquo;ouest, on rejoint le <em>MegaMuseo<\/em> \u2013 Mus\u00e9e Arch\u00e9ologique Contemporain, qui conserve d&rsquo;exceptionnels t\u00e9moignages de la Pr\u00e9histoire et de la culture m\u00e9galithique, ainsi qu&rsquo;une section consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque romaine, o\u00f9 la vie quotidienne dialogue avec les pratiques fun\u00e9raires et religieuses. Un v\u00e9ritable voyage au c\u0153ur de la romanit\u00e9 alpine, sublim\u00e9 par le cadre naturel qui entoure la ville.<\/p><p>Le grand protagoniste de cette saison est le Th\u00e9\u00e2tre romain qui, apr\u00e8s trois ann\u00e9es de travaux de requalification de la zone arch\u00e9ologique et des parcours de visite, a rouvert ses portes au public. Parmi les nouveaut\u00e9s figurent \u00e9galement des outils num\u00e9riques accessibles par QR code et consultables directement sur smartphone. Le tout \u00e0 quelques pas des montagnes. Ces m\u00eames cimes que les Romains observ\u00e8rent d&rsquo;abord avec crainte avant d&rsquo;en reconna\u00eetre rapidement l&rsquo;importance strat\u00e9gique pour le contr\u00f4le des voies de communication \u00e0 travers les Alpes.
